Cheaper than it looks
I bought this item online, thinking it would be a good looking addition to our living room. It does look nice. However, it consists of cheap materials. The bottom shelf, which has glass doors along the front, is enclosed on the other three sides by pieces of cardboard made to look like matching pieces of wood. The wood itself was also cheap particle board, although at this price, that was expected. The cardboard was not. Also, the included directions advise you to anchor the stand in order to secure it. In other words, it cannot safely support your TV on its own. It must be "anchored" to the wall behind it. Now don't be too quick to assume that metal wire or chain will be used to do this. The kit includes 2 eyelet screws with 2 very large plastic cable ties. We used one cable tie on the TV stand and one on the TV itself. It seems pretty stable now, but definitely not anything ideal or permanent. If you are looking for a more permanent structure, then this one isn't for you.

Pleasantly surprised
This TV stand is more than we expected. It is HEAVY material, so it does not rock or shift on the rug. It looks just like a woodgrain piece of furniture. We assembled it in 15 mins., NO problem. The glass doors are smokey grey and slide beautifully in the track. Can't BEAT the price, saw it someplace else for over $100. It looks amazing in our room, HIGHLY recommend purchase, and we were skeptical at first. ENJOY!!

Love the Stand But...
I have to return this tv stand because the three shelves were cracked right down the middle, I am very sad because I really wanted this tv stand it is just what I have been looking for. It has the rounded off edges to protect from any incidents with little ones and a shelf on the bottom so a child can not climb in the back to get to the wires. It is not anyone's fault, but FedEx I have had multiple problems with FedEx. I live in a apartment building and all three times that they have dropped something off here they have not knocked they just left it outside my door the boxes look like they have been sit on same with this one. I recommend getting this tv stand but you are taking a chance of it being damaged and if you ship to your house you will not get the money you spent for shipping back.

great look; horrible assembly
when i went to pick this item up at the store, it was smaller in box than i expected but that was great because i could lift it by myself. unfortunately, when my boyfriend & i opened up the package, one of the sliver handles were broken at the end. it was basically made out of plastic. when we continued to try to assembly it and leave out that one plastic piece and we turned the "knob" to tighten it, it broke when we barely lift it off the ground to move it towards to wall!! then, the glass sliding doors weren't even a good fit and kept falling down even though there was a top and bottom section for it to fit together with, it wasn't the right fit so it kept falling down. my boyfriend, being the great genius he is, threw away our box so we can't return it so we called the manufactuer and asked them to send out new plastic sliver rod parts and hopefully when or IF they come, it will fall into place. the overall look of it was great though you know, the black wood like feature was beautiful and the concept was amazing. sadly, its poorly constructed even for the amount i paid, i expected at least fit and stability.

Nice looking TV Stand, but don't try to move it.
I bought this stand because it was cheap and I needed a place to sit my TV temporarily. As i was putting this stand together, 2 of the posts broke at the threaded end while i was twisting it in to place. A few weeks later i put in a stereo receiver and while I moved the stand to straighten it out. one of the feet broke of. I still kept the stand longer than expected to because it does look nice for a stand under 100 bucks; however, the depth is too short. My Xbox 360 does not fit behind the glass doors. I had to cut a section off the back of the stand because the 360's plug extrudes a little.
