so worth the price!
I searched for weeks for the perfect electric fireplace. I am a teen who lives alone so I was looking for something a little on cheaper side. I came upon this and was a little skeptical about the way it would look in person. I've tried Youtube for videos of it, but found nothing. I took a chance, because of the price, and despite the 2.5 hours it took to build myself, I am very very happy with my choice! All of my friends compliment me on it and it really ties my small living room together. Fits so well with my 42" tv. Beautiful dark wood. Instructions on anything like this is going to be hard, so be prepared to get frustrated. The logs look real, they glow a bright red, the logs dim and lighten to get the 'amber' look. The flame is not on the logs, it is behind, as if it were a screen. But that is not a bad thing. It has three flame settings, low med high. And what I love is that you can have the flames going without the heat going. I would compare the heater noise to a small desk fan on low. But I have a huge wall heater that rattles, so the fan doesn't bother me at all. It warms my living room in ten minutes. It heats anywhere from 70-88 degrees. It is very stirdy but it depends on you because you put it together. It comes with a remote, very helpful, and a cool sliding bar that hides the bright red thermostat & on/off switch. The remote still works with the sensor hidden. Very cool. My cat absolutely loves sitting in front of it, even when she didn't know it heats up. She loves the look of it, as well as me and my friends. Very happy with this product.

I bought this and assembled it last week. All in all, I am very pleased. First, the shipping was very fast and it arrived in good condition. Note that the boxed item is very heavy. I was very pleased to see solid wood construction and metal coil in most of the screw holes.
This is moderately difficult to put together. It took me a bit over an hour and there were a couple of spots that I was happy to have a second set of hands. I'd recommend having an electric screwdriver handy as well as a phillips head attachment for a medium ratchet.
The one complaint I'd have is that I still can't see how to attach the firebox to the mantle. It's just doesn't seem possible to get the L brackets in as per the instructions. So I slipped in the firebox and didn't secure it. It's working fine and isn't going anywhere so no harm, but I'd love to know how I was supposed to do that.
These pieces can go for a heck of a lot in a furniture store, so if you're moderately handy with assemble it yourself furniture, this can represent a terrific value and looks very nice once it's together.

I only bought this for my tiny living room because of all the great reviews I read. First off, I received 2 rights (instead of 1 right 1 left) for each vertical side and it being a saturday i had to literally break and modify each clone to make it work... I was already in a bad mood so i didn't care to wait until monday to get someone on the phone and wait for the correct pieces. After getting it completed i went to turn it on with the remote that apparently only works when it wants to... and noticed after i turn my music off i can hear the lil turning drum clicking after every rotation? soooo annoying... at 74 on the thermostat the unit will come on for about 5 min and shut off, great right? i turn it to 76 and the thing just never shuts off. I have to turn it off with the lil 50 cent remote that struggles with everything ( and yes i know to point at the backscreen) or I sweat to death...

Great buy!
This is a great addition to my living room. It brings in a little elegance to my space. The fire looks realistic and the heater warms up the whole front portion of my condo! It was easy to assemble...I'm a female and I put it togther myself. I've had it for a week now and I love it!!! As a matter of fact, I'm using it right now! Great buy!!!

Beautiful piece of furniture!!
This fireplace TV stand is awesome! The realistic looking fire on the screen and red logs is just awesome, The quality is by far worth the cost. All real wood, no cheap particle junk. Super fast delivery. Others in my family have similar fireplaces, gas and electric. This fireplace is the simplest and nicest by far. I have seen many with the red logs, but this is the first I have seen in person with the screen to display the fire, that actually looks realistic. The heating feature is awesome, and makes the room toasty in about a half hour. I didn't want one that used gas, since I don't like the idea of a real fire in my living room. The reason I say this unit is better than the gas one, is you can turn this on and not use the heat feature, with gas if it's on it's hot. Everyone who has seen it has loved it. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted a fireplace TV stand.
