Love this item!
Sturdy construction! This tv stand looks like it cost a lot more than it did! Arrived several days ahead of schedule. A couple of things to keep in mind if you're thinking about ordering this item: (1) the box was incredibly heavy (I needed someone else to help me carry it up to my apartment); (2) it took time to put together (I did it myself & did not rush at all -- it took close to 6 hours, partially b/c I put the drawers slides on backwards & had to take part of the unit apart & put it back together again). I would just make sure you're very careful when putting on the drawer slides. Luckily I did not nail the entire back to the unit even though the instructions said to, so I was able to deconstruct it to fix my mistake. The wood has a bit of brown in the grain, but I think it looks great with my black furniture. Would definitely recommend to anyone with the patience to spend the time to carefully put it together.

cheaper quality then expected
Bought this tv stand a few months ago and was disappointed after putting it together. The fake wood pieces are very cheaply made. Easily scratched. In fact some pieces were scratched after simply moving it around during the putting together process. As a few months have gone by I noticed the top is caving in due to the tv weight. Description says fits 46" tv but sure is not able to hold a mear 40". Overall piece looks decent but I would have definitely kept the money and put it towards a better quality piece. However, for the price I guess its not to bad.

Affordable and Nice TV Stand
Pros: Looks very fancy and adds instant class to a room. The built in drawers are awesome! DVDs fit perfectly inside if they are standing up, so that when you open the drawer, you can see the "spine" of the DVDs and easily locate a movie. Seeing that I only have like 10 DVD's, I chose to use my drawers for general storage since space is pretty tight in my apartment. Adjustable shelves are also a plus considering that everyone's cable box, game consoles, etc. are different heights. I also love the extra shelf above the drawers. I chose to put baskets in mine to add more storage space. The dark wood color is very nice. The color was true to the pictures they have on walmart.com.
Cons: Set up was a pain (at least for me), some may say otherwise. There were a lot of pieces and most was pretty heavy if working alone. They do have some very basic videos that you can watch with each step though. I recommend getting a friend to help!
It also seems like the wood could chip easily, but its a semi-cheap tv stand and you get what you pay for.
Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase. I had my eye on this TV stand for several months before committing to purchase and I'm very glad I bought it. It's also my first "real" TV stand and has instantly improved my living room. I highly recommend!

Affordable, Appealing, and Easy Assembly
I bought the TV stand to work more like a Credenza for my office, placing my printer/scanner, printer paper, and stationary onto it and giving me extra storage space with the drawers. It was extremely easy to assemble, with my husband helping with, basically, the heavy lifting.
My only critique is that not everything is labeled and it can lead to some interesting interpretations on how to put it together. Don't worry though, it's like a puzzle, and if you have one piece in the wrong place the entire thing goes bunk and you end up having to revert back to the misstep that you took.
Overall, it looks really great with the Sauder Shoal Creek Jamocha Wood Panel Executive Desk.

Sturdy, great looking tv stand
I bought this tv stand for my one bedroom apartment. It works perfect for organizing my 32" tv, AT&T router, PS3, & XBOX. The two draws on the bottom are great for storing movies, controllers, or cords. The tv stand is heavy about 70lbs, I had to get help carrying it up one flight of stairs.
