Altra Chrome Wall Mount TV Stand
Bought two. Worked well although one had QA issues and was out of square. Was able to correct by not installing highest black panel. Appearance would be improved if manufacturer drilled holes in uprights instead of punching which left dimples. Cantilever shelves could be improved by using tabs in the vertical instead of the horizontal where they offer virtually no support.
Otherwise an attractive unit.

Poor product quality
I cannot recommend this product to anyone because of the many flaws I found while assembling it. While it seems like a good value, the number defects drop this down to a $50 yard sale item.
The key issue is that the chrome base frame comes preassembled with chrome crossmembers welded to the side frames. If the welded assembly is not square--and in my case it was not--you end up with a stand that looks like it was constructed as part of a middle school industrial arts project.
What's worse, the back panels come with pre-drilled holes so they can be attached to L-brackets you mount to the chrome frame. The two issues I encountered with this were that almost every panel was missing one pair of holes and that none of the holes lined up with those in the L-brackets. The misalignment was no doubt partially due to the frame being out of square. So the holes that were actually pre-drilled in the back panels were utterly worthless.
Because the frame was out of square the top panel is crooked. One end is flush with the top of the chrome support member while the other is a good quarter of an inch below the top.
When I discovered this I started to throw it in the car and drive to the nearest Wal-Mart to return it. I didn't because I knew I could hide the flaw behind the TV I planned to mount on the frame. In retrospect, I should have returned it because it's really not at all worth the money and the pain it caused me attempting to assemble it.
The worst flaw of all I discovered after I had mounted the frame to the wall and was ready to attach the bracket on which the TV would hang. Guess what. Yes, that's right. Because the frame was out of square the metal, rectangular frame on which the TV hangs would not attach cleanly to the stand. I literally had to pound on one side of it with a hammer to get the holes to line up.
Eventually, I was able to get it all put together and hang my TV on it. Because it's firmly screwed into wall studs, it seems pretty solid. The flaws are for the most part hidden. Once I committed to mounting it to the wall, there was no turning back, so I'm stuck with what I purchased.
But I would never ever make the mistake of purchasing one of these again. My advice to anyone considering the purchase of this system is to just get a simple wall mount bracket instead. You will save yourself a lot time, pain and anguish.
