Extremely pleased with this product!
I was very excited to receive this Bryer fireplace curio console. The product came in two packages, one of which was the fireplace piece itself and was about 35 lbs in weight, and the second package was the actual curio console, which was a total of 115 lbs. Both of the pieces came undamaged and in a perfect condition. It took me about 20 to 30 minutes maximum to put the whole piece together, it was very easy and the instruction sheet was easy to understand. I am going to warn you though, it states on the instruction sheet that you will require an electric drill - do not worry, because it is not necessary at all, the only thing that you will need to help you put this piece together is a regular screwdriver, it will work perfect, that is what I used and had no problems at all. While putting it together I have noticed that unlike most of the pieces of furniture that I have ever put together before, this one had metal pieces installed in every single hole where the screws are supposed to go in, which actually surprised me but also made me feel more confident about how good this whole big heavy piece will be standing and how much stronger those metal pieces will help for the whole curio console to be sturdy, I was actually amazed and glad at the same time! The instruction sheet has got 22 steps and I need to tell you, that the last two steps will instruct you to connect some plastic pieces to your wall and to the wood back part on the console and connect it with zip ties in order to secure it from falling - I do not think that it is necessary what so ever, as this whole piece is so heavy and sturdy that there is no way that it will ever overturn, but it is absolutely up to you, whether you want to do that or not! :) The finish of the curio console is a beautiful antique white, I love the classic look of the whole piece, starting with beautifully crafted legs, all the way to the top - it is breathtaking. I love that all four of the glass pieces are actually a tempered glass, which means that they are 4 times stronger than regular glass, which makes them harder to break, that is a huge plus, also all four of the glass pieces are built into the console, which makes it even better than them been just pre attached to the piece. Inside of the console there are two shelves, the height of which can be easily adjusted and it is just amazing how many decor pieces and books can be stored on the shelving. The whole piece is not on a small side, it is exactly 5 ft tall and about 3 ft in width. I love that feature about this product as it looks absolutely amazing! Not only that this piece is a gorgeous classy, antique looking heavy piece of furniture , but it will also keep you warm. Talking about getting warm, on the bottom level of this curio console is a large size electric fireplace , which just slides into the bottom storage space and is secured by a small piece of wood at the back with a help of two screws. Although the fireplace is electric, it uses exactly the same amount of electricity as an infrared heater- which is 1500W, which means that it will also save you on electric costs for the winter. The fireplace is large and heats up to 400 sq ft. It comes with a small remote which allows you to adjust everything from the temperature, to how bright you want the logs to look, to how high the flames should be, and even lights up the brick two walls on each side for extra romantic effect. I love how quiet the fireplace works, I can barely hear it working, and it is so HOT, I put my hand in front of it and could not stand it, as it gets so hot, it burns my hand, I love that! That means it will definitely keep me worm all winter long and give a gorgeous life like burning logs and fire look. The temperature of the fireplace ranges from 62 F to 80 F, which will sure keep you warm at all times. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this Bryer product, not only that is an absolutely gorgeous, classy, heavy, sturdy and high quality piece of furniture, it will give you an extra storage space for all the books, decorative pieces, ( or even kitchen knick knecks if you will use it in your kitchen) and will keep you and your family warm on cold days. This piece is a definite eye catcher and can be used anywhere in your house wherever you want to place it, it does not matter, as its beauty will just compliment each and every room in your household! I have got in one week so many compliments on it from my friends, everybody loves the looks and the warms of the fireplace!

Beautiful and useful!
This console/fireplace has an elegant look. It definitely has the “shabby chic” look going on, which I love! The construction mainly relies on wooden dowels for alignment and threaded inserts and bolts for the main fastening. I put glue on the dowels for additional strength, however this is not called for in the instructions. The instructions were easy enough to understand and I was able to put it together in two hours, but I'm not a professional at this, so it may go together faster for others. The back panel is the only piece that really gave me problems because there’s 20 screws that need to be put in, but no holes to screw them into, so I had to make these holes myself. Once assembled, the cabinet looks beautiful. The fireplace insert is very nice. It looks decorative and seems to work well. The heat that it puts out is rather intense, but it doesn’t have a very strong fan and no fan adjustments. There’s buttons on the front panel that control all aspects of the fireplace except for the side lighting. Also included is a remote control which lets you adjust all of these functions up and down easily, and turn the additional side lighting off and on for a more subdued look. The timer function allows the fireplace to automatically turn off after the time is reached. It starts at 30 minutes, then goes to an hour, and goes up by one hour increments up to 9 hours. It can also be controlled by the thermostat, which starts at 62 degrees and goes up to 82 before just going to “On”. I love the way it looks, and when I walk into the room my eyes go right to it. I'm thinking about moving it to the bathroom for extra heat, and towel storage.
