Worth the effort!

I love this fireplace/media center! I put it in the corner of my living room, so it's very space efficient. It's "convertible" though, so you can put it in a corner, or lower the wood thing in the back and place it flat against a wall. The assembly instructions weren't too hard to follow, but the pictures were a little small for me, and that made things a little more difficult to follow, but otherwise not bad. It wouldn't hurt to have someone help you assemble it, since lifting the top and bottom parts into place over the pegs can be challenging by yourself. Overall, very happy with this and it looks great! Oh and the remote that comes with it is very cool! You can turn the heat, "flames," and "logs" on or off separately at the push of a button.

Beautiful console!

Sturdy, looks great, nice finish. Firebox looks good too, flames look realistic from a couple feet away and heats up my room nicely.

Was a little surprised at how much work was involved putting the fireplace together. It would not be a project for a person with limited mechanical abilities.

Overall Happy

I almost didn't order it based on reviews posted. I howver found it very easy to put togeather ( actually my son found it easy ) The color was good and overall I am very happy. Knowing I could return it made me more comfdortable about ordering, but it will not be returned. It looks so nice in my living room. Overall I an very glad I purchased this unit.

So disappointed.

Excited we received it so quickly only to find the quality was not what it portrayed in the picture. The holes did not match up in order to put it together and we were afraid it would not stand on its own. We did continue building until we reached a point we could not go any further due to some of the screws being too small or the holes not meeting up with each other. SO disappointed and a waste of our time before the holidays. I did call WalMart and voice my opinion/concern about this product.
