Pre-fabricated Quality!
You know when you order furniture online and half the time the pieces are broken or missing, and the instructions are really ambiguous with crazy mis-placed arrows, and clearly not written by someone whose first language is English. Well this piece is the exact opposite of that. The instructions are very clear, the pictures are exact to every single little pre-drilled hole and the arrows are very helpful, and written in plain English, with a little wit thrown in as well.
I actually put this together myself, and it took a long time. Not because it was hard, but it's a lot of pieces, and it will easily take someone 6 hours to do it alone. And this thing is heavy and big once constructed, so build it where it's going to go. I didn't do that and moving it afterward through a narrow opening was tough alone.
You don't need power tools per the instructions, but it helps, just dont over torque anything, use the screwdriver as the final tighten. I cant emphasis enough what a joy it was putting this together over the typical anything that comes with horrible instructions. Not only was it clear, it was easy, not impossible pieces that dont fit right or trying to fit the world's smallest screwdriver into a tight spot, it's really easy.
And the best part, it's solid and really nice quality. The doors line up, they open and close easily, there's holes in the back built into the piece for component wiring and it comes with a surge protector and a clever way to mount it inside the middle section. It's a really nice piece of furniture. At this price point it's a steal, but do yourself a favor and get a friend to help just to speed things up and help move it as needed.
Highly recommended! In fact, I'm going to look at other furniture made by Sauder, this is good stuff!
