Nice Stand - Required Major Modifications
I ordered this TV stand for my daughter to use as a stand for her new home stereo system. The price was great, shipping was fast, arrived undamaged. The only problem is the center holes for the supports on one of the shelves were way off - around two inches off center. Obviously, you can't put the thing together if the center support post holes don't line up. Luckily, the top shelf was going to be covered by her home stereo so I simply drilled new holes. Of course, the two original holes are just sitting empty and look horrible now but since they're covered up it's no big deal.
The stand itself is great, sturdy, nicely finished and was really well packed. I'm gonna assume there is an entire production run of these out there with incorrectly placed center holes so you're taking a chance if you order one of these. Yes, I could have sent it back but like I said - in my case the holes wouldn't be visible so no biggie.

It's only 10" tall.
Anyone who orders this not knowing how tall it actually is, will probably be dissapointed but that's their own ignorance not a Walmart problem. There are pics showing the height measured out on them. They show it's only 10" high. This was designed for the Asian/Overseas modern furniture market. Where you have smaller rooms, sit on lower furniture, sit closer to the tv, and like a modern style short tv stand. Think Ikea short tv stands. This is much like those but even shorter.
I knew the height going in. And it fits my intended use perfectly. I bought a few of these to line up under my projector screen in my home theater and hold equipment and decor. Them being 40" wide and only 10" tall is great. They're short enough to hold an av receiver, dvd player, etc and not interfere with the huge projector screen.
As far as quality for the price($26 or so currently) they're right on for what I expected. There are some websites offering them for $40 or so. I feel like that's a bit much.
I've been waiting for these to come back in stock for weeks and got luck the Dark Cherry(the color I wanted) came back in stock. These seem to sell out pretty fast. So get them quick if you want them.
