Missing Parts
I unboxed the Galaxy XL TV Stand with Mount for TVs up 60", Espresso and found half the parts missing. The manufacturer sent a replacement stand and I unboxed it only to find it was missing bolts. So I called the manufacturer and they sent the missing bolts but they were too short. So I called the manufacturer again and they sent more bolts which finally fit. The stand went together easy and looks good even though its made of painted black pressed wood. The Galaxy XL TV Stand with Mount is 44 inches tall and 47 inches wide and holds up to a 65 inch tv with a weight limit of 105 pounds according to the manual. I was hoping this Galaxy XL TV Stand would be taller so my handicap wife could use it in the bedroom. It would of been a nice feature if they would added wheels also, and they need to improve their quality control. I would not recommend this Galaxy XL TV Stand with Mount for TVs because of all the hassles I had getting all the parts which should have been in the box. Surly all the furniture from this company is not missing parts and for the price it might not be a bad deal if you don't mind a little aggravation.

MISSING PARTS, SCREWS and INSTRUCTIONS
I wish I had the opportunity to give an opinion about this item but unfortunately I can't. The item was received with parts and screws missing. My spouse and I were unable to put the stand together due to the missing parts. The box clearly states it was inspected by someone with the initials of PW. Well PW this was a poor inspection. We were so looking forward to adding the TV stand to our guest room, but it was not meant to be. We thought maybe the missing parts and screws would arrive in a separate delivery. Of course this wish never happened. The pieces we did receive looked as if they would be nice when put together in it's correct format. I can only say I AM HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. MY SPOUSE IS DISAPPOINTED. Now we have to figure out where to take the 6 pieces we did receive. Please make sure when you purchase this item keep your receipt. Make sure you have all of your parts, screws and instructions. I not say enough how highly disappointed in not having all of the parts, screws and instructions. I can't get over the box sticker stating it was inspected by someone and so many pieces were missing. Oh well my loss.

Really slick stand with mount
I purchased the Altra Galaxy XL TV Stand with Mount in black for my living 55" tv and I'm quite impressed! I think this is a good price for the stand and everything worked out perfectly. I was going to mount my tv on the wall but this came in the clutch. I recommend this stand for anyone

It's ok
I was super excited to receive my new Galaxy XL tv stand, and put it together. However, there weren't any instructions. I was not off to a good start here. I opened the box and gave it a good once over and surprisingly there wasn't any damage during shipping. Shoo, praise the Lord. Once I was able to hunt the directions down from the company, it was time to put it together. Assembly was actually fairly easy and it only took one person to do it-my husband. Ha ha! The finish is quite nice even though it is made from pressed wood. I don't see this stand being a long term piece of furniture for that reason, but it's nice for the price.
Once the stand was put together, it was time to mount the tv. Oh dang! I have what you would call an old school 50 inch flat screen. It's an older model and not as sleek as the newer ones and weighs a ton! Houston, we have a problem. First issue was that my dinosaur tv was too wide to mount. However, my wonderful and smart husband had a fix for it and made it work. Yay! Fortunately for us the tv weighed right at the maximum weight of what the stand could hold. Please note that the stand only holds up one hundred pounds. If your tv is older like mine and bigger than fifty inches, do not buy this stand! I wouldn't trust it hold.
So, the tv is mounted. Now what? Move it to the wall, that's what! I nearly had a panic attack because it was just not that sturdy. It wobbled when you touched the tv. We have children and they haven't learned to keep their hands off of the tv yet. Working on it;). Anyway, we moved the stand further back to where it touched the wall and secured it with screws. It was then to my liking at that point. I honestly can't see this stand holding a sixty inch tv. It just doesn't seem built for that.
One of the things I liked about the stand is that it holds a lot of dvds. I have about sixty five movies and games tucked into the shelves on the stand. There are two shelves. One on top and one on bottom. The bottom shelf can hold two rows of movies/games, and one row on top. There's actually room for more, so sixty five is ballparking it. There's plenty of room for your cable box and gaming system and all of its accessories as well. I also really like it's openness. No doors or hiding things. You can see everything that's on it. Overall, it's a nice stand.

Disappointing from the time it arrived!
The Altra Galaxy 65" TV Stand with Mount is definitely much bigger than depicted in the picture! When I ordered it I had no idea how large it was until it arrived. I had wanted a stand to go on top of my dresser to raise the TV up as I did not want to mount it on the wall. I opened the box and took out all the pieces in anticipation of an afternoon building the stand only to find out it did not come with directions! After looking at the bag with all the different screws and clamps I decided to put everything away and emailed the company’s (Altra) support website. I got no response so after 2 more weeks I emailed them again just asking for an instruction manual (they even had some online for other stands they offered). Again no response from Altra. Today I decided to try to put it together by using the manual for another stand they offered and just eyeballing it. I put the bottom pieces together first and then added the top pieces. I had a hard time with some of the screws that needed to fit into the screw clamps, it took a lot of tweaking with the clamps to get the screw to go in. The wall mount screws did not fit my T.V. but luckily my TV had come with a set so I used those instead. When it was said and done I still had multiple sizes of screws left but I do believe some of them were for the safety mount. I did still put the stand on my dresser where it sits like a whale out of water taking up most of the top space. The TV looks great but I think the whole thing is just too much to go on top of a piece of furniture, this should be set up on the floor. It does hold my 46” TV securely though and I would recommend this for more of a floor type television stand. I was still very disappointed in the company that offers this stand, Altra, as their customer service stinks and a response, even if they couldn’t have given me the directions, should have been sent. For that reason I do not recommend any product from that company. This has nothing to do with Walmart, I know I could have probably had this product replaced by them but the size and weight was a definite deterrent to returning it!
