Not Bad for the Price
Shoppers, be sure to read the description. I knew what to expect when I saw under item details, "made of engineered wood" meaning good old fashion particle board/compressed-saw dust-looking-stuff, so I wasn't upset when I received the item, but if you don't read closely I can understand some disappointment. But for the price this item is sturdy (quite heavy actually), somewhat difficult to assemble (I needed an extra set if hands), but most definitely this piece is gorgeous. It is true to the picture on the website. The one downside I could foresee, and others should consider is that the height of the raised edge along the top surface where the TV is placed may be high for some TVs depending on your TV. If the space from the surface to the bottom of your TV is less than 1 5/8" you will need to place your TV on something to raise it to clear the edge. Luckily, my TV did not have issues but it is a larger TV (47" diagonal length) and hangs off on each side by <1/2" which doe not bother me at all. The handles are real metal with a copper highlighting to give it a slightly worn look. My favorite feature is the flip up and slide back feature of the doors. BE SURE TO READ AND FOLLOW THE MANUAL FOR ASSEMBLY, pay attention to the details or else's you will have to unscrew a few items to redo it. Overall, this product met my expectations, slight damage to the corners during shipping but nothing that was really bothersome, shipped in a timely fashion.

Great Unit
I wanted something to go under my wall mounted TV that didn't look like just a TV stand. This looks great and meets my component storage needs. Took a couple hours to put together and there were a few nicked corners, but they aren't noticeable once it's assembled.

Love this piece of furniture
Overall, the stand took 2.5 hours to set up and it is sturdy and solid. The product arrived on time and I love how it completes my living room. There are scratches on two of the sides and the top, but I didn't take notice until the whole thing was assembled and I wasn't about to take it apart to ship it back. I love that the doors open up and slide back. Definitely a great purchase.

Beautiful - love it!
I purchased this to use as a microwave / cookbook storage stand for my kitchen. I had it shipped to my house and it was well packaged when it arrived with no damage. It took me about 3 hours to put it together by myself but it was really easy and the directions were quite simple. I love how the glass doors slide up and back. My microwave fits right on top and I still have room on the side for a banana tree. I was able to store candles, wines, cookbooks, and extra cooking paraphernalia underneath with room for more if needed. This product far exceeded my expectations. It's a beautiful dark gray and looks way more expensive than it actually was. 5 stars to Sauder!
