Looks like a more expensive piece of furniture

    Customer Rating

Picked this up at my local store and there was no damage. Packaging was in great condition, so off to a good start. Due to its weight and the fact that I live in a split level, we carried it into the house pretty much piece by piece. Younger folks with easier room access could probably get this into a house all at once, but it definitely takes two people. Instructions are clear and parts are well labeled or described but it does take some time to put together. Again, I am a 60+ female with arthritic hands so a younger person could probably do it quicker. I finished in around 3 1/2 hours and had to have help flipping the piece up-right after putting on the legs. Otherwise, I managed on my own. I love the detailing on this piece and the fact that it is all wood - none of that flimsy cardboard backing that tears when you try to punch out the hole where the wiring goes. Everything fit together right the first time or was easily adjusted to fit following the printed instructions. When all was said and done, I have a very solid, extremely attractive piece of furniture that looks a lot more expensive than it was.

    Quality piece of furniture

    Customer Rating

Overall look is great, no complaints on appearance other than the picture shows light oak and the actual piece is darker.
The instructions are easy to follow and every piece is identified easily. Only negative is the 279 pieces. It took two people 6 hours to put it together.
We ended up mounting the new 60" TV on the wall, but the credenza is more than sturdy enough to hold a large TV. Very happy with our purchase.

The package shipped quickly and arrived ahead of schedule. Putting together the entertainment center took a couple hours because I didn't have a power drill but the instructions were easy to follow. The finished product looks great and is exactly what I expected.

Lovely piece of furniture with some problems

    Customer Rating

First problem was with Walmart's late delivery. 8 days longer than promised.
Some of the instructions on various pages could have gone into a bit more explanation, but if you have put Sauder furniture together before, you can figure it out.

Biggest problems were 2 of 6 side panels were warped and didn't fit snugly into the screws provided. However, rather than wait for Sauder to replace the parts, some wood glue did the trick and the side panels were also kept in place by the 2 front legs.

2nd problem was back center piece made of cardboard and laminated on front to match the wood grain and color. High humidity caused the panel to buckle and needed some nailing. Sauder is replacing the panel.

Last problem was the felt bumpers on the 2 glass doors. A bit too thin, so when you closed the door, it would bang against the wood. Tried adjusting the doors but one still banged. Replaced the 4 felt pads with rubber bumpers and it is working fine.

It is a nice looking piece of furniture, but found out that I could have gotten it on the internet for 25 bucks less than Walmart including free shipping.

Nice looking piece. Have about 7 Sauder products in my home...

    Extremely Satisfied w/construction, look, function

    Customer Rating

We were pleased to see the solid construction, especially in the Top of the unit. Everything goes together well and fairly easy. This unit is clearly engineered to handle TV's heavier than my 70" flat screen. Once built, it took a few of us to fit in into our alcove for use. Love the functional shelves and windows. The extra touch of details on the glass panels is really nice as well and was a surprise to us. The fact that the drawer is designed to stay close with the drop track was a nice touch!
