Works great for a 46" Tv
It took me about 1.5 hours to put it togather. Not to bad until you get to the doors. It took about 30 minutes of 1.5 hours. Not a good design by the designers. They made it harder then they needed to. I think I got them right? They look pretty good. It just took time to get both of doors to stop rubbing on the sides. There are six screws on each hinge. They all have to be adjust just right. Anyway it looks nice. My son walked in the room and said, "It looks like that cost a lot. Well in time we will see how it holds up. Best of Luck and happy shopping.

nice for price
Bought this a week ago and finally put it together 3rd July 2014. me and my husband tagged teamed it. The directions, for the most part, were fine. I did however had to look at the front page of the assembly booklet at the assembled picture to understand how some parts had to be placed because some directions were difficult to comprehend.
Step 14 is where it got a little challenging, but my husband accomplished it. He did have trouble assembling the doors just like the other reviews stated. They do scrape at the bottom when the doors open and close, but ours did not chip the paint. Because we are aware of this flaw, we simply lift it slightly when closing and opening the doors.
There are no ventilation holes so I cut out to two rectangular holes in the back of it. Our stand is against a wall so it's not visible to anyone.
The last step (18) is where our disappointment came. This step puts the knobs on the door. The nails were 2 different sizes; one nail was the right size (long enough to go through both sides of the door) but the other was too short. Instead of going to buy another nail, my husband went to Walmart and bought a completely different set of knobs. The ones he picked out actually go better with the stand and our rustic style furniture. I will try to enclose two pictures.
I have read reviews that the stand bows in the middle which is disappointing. Since we just started using it, we haven't had that problem. We may have to deal with it later.
I would also like to note that at Walmart the spec says televisions no bigger than 47" or 50 pounds, while the better homes and gardens site says televisions no more than 70 pounds. To be on the safe side, I wouldn't put a television on this stand that weighs more than 50 lbs. Our tv is 42".
Also, the assembly book says there is a 5 year limited warranty, but the walmart site says there is no warranty. I tried to register our product on sauder.com, because that's who makes this stand, but the model number is not even listed on their site. There are 3 too many inconsistencies between the Better Homes and Gardens site, sauder.com and Walmart.com.
Hopefully we have no issues with this stand.
We did not order this online. We bought it from the store so we didn't have to worry about parts being damaged during shipping like other buyers did. Also if you buy anything from the walmart store that requires assembly, walmart associates assemble it at no charge, you just have to pick it up when it's ready.

Good looking tv stand for a good price
I have been looking at this tv stand of a while now as a replacement for an older one that wasn't enclosed. I looked at it again today and saw that the price had dropped by $20 so I went to my local store and picked this up.
I was nicely surprised when I saw made in America on the box, so I felt even better about my purchase.
Wen I got this home I opened the box and pulled out the instructions before getting started. They were clearly written and the hardware was nicely labeled. From start to finish this took me about 3 hours to put together because I went slow and followed the directions carefully. In the past I have rushed some furniture items so I wanted to do this right. If you know what you are doing you could probably get this done in 2 hours...maybe less.
I think that this is a great little stand. The doors need a little adjusting after you install them, but the directions state this and give a little instruction on how to do this if you have not done it in the past. I would recommend this to friends in a heart beat.

Good, but could be better
Pro's:
- looks great
- assembly wasn't too difficult (1-2 hours)
- holds all of my equipment, dvd player, receiver, cable box, power center, etc
- glass doors keep the dust off of my equipment
- doors are adjustable for a perfect fit
- matches other furniture in my home
- clear directions and labeled parts
Con's:
- The cam dowels don't screw in like other furniture I have assembled in the past. It just sits in the hole (opposite of the cam). I'm not sure how the dowel stays, it seems to just float. I locked the cams down, but when I lift up on the top there is a little bit of play /movement. This is my biggest issue with this item.
- There is no cord management just perforated holes in the back. Not a con, but not a feature as listed.
Suggested Improvements:
- add magnetic catches for the doors so they do not open so easily (especially for children)
- use cam dowels that screw in
- use soft close door hinges so the doors don't slam
- there should be a middle support on the bottom skirt for better disbursement of weight.
