Nice Large Tv Stand
This is a very nice stand, too bad the metal frame on mine was bent when i got it. I was able to put that at the back so it wont be seen. The stand also does not come with any tools to assemble it but mine only requires a standard Philips + screw driver. The instructions are basic picture instructions you get with most Ikea type furniture. The shelves of the stand are cut out on the bottom side to allow for more air flow for electronics like game systems which need air flow so they wont overheat. Unfortunately the bottom shelf doesn't have enough clearance for full size dvd/video game cases to stand up right but is exactly tall enough for the new smaller cases like the xbox one use to stand upright. The back of the stand looks exactly the same as the front so there are no holes, loops or places to tuck the wires out of the way other than zip tieing the wires to the metal frame But since it is reversable you dont actually need to use it as a tv stand its just low and wide enough to be a good coffee table or shelf . the shelves are made of particle board with fauz wood laminate over the top

Terrific TV Stand!
Altra Furniture Elmwood TV Stand for TVs up to 60", Brown Finish - 4 STARS
Overall I really like this Altra TV Stand. It arrived packed securely within its own box. It weighs 75 lbs. so please have someone to help you if need be. The instructions are very easily to understand, mostly pictures showing you which piece goes where and which type of screw(s) you will need to use for each particular part. You will need to place this in a wide open area , hopefully in the room you will be using it because it states clearly not to pull or drag tv stand that two people need to pick it up whenever it needs to be moved. It has a warning regarding that it could possibly collapse . It also has an adhesive sticker to affix to the stand warning not to place anything more than 100 lbs. on this tv stand. It also says you need two people to assemble this and a hammer, a flathead screwdriver and a philips screwdriver - crosshead to assemble stand properly. It took me and my helper approximately 45 minutes. The large engineered wood pieces have pre-drilled holes in them so that does help a lot. The huge downside to the reasoning of 4 Stars is because of all the screws!!!!!!! It is between 40- 50 screws (3 different sizes) that must be screwed completely in each pre-drilled hole to safely assemble this Altra Furniture TV Stand Elmwood.
Once it was all assembled it looked great! I now have a lot of open shelf space for my Flat screen TV and all my cd/dvd collection and gaming , media devices on lower shelves. Definitely what I needed and I am sure glad I now have a terrific looking space for it all . I give the Altra Furniture Elmwood TV Stand for TVs up to 60", Brown Finish - 4 STARS!

Altra furniture elmwood tv 60', brown finish
I received the 60 inch TV stand in the 3D textured paper finish in medium brown oak thru the Spark Reviewer program. It has metal legs in a black powder coated finish. The dimensions are 60 in long, 17.7 widths and 19.7 heights. It is very sturdy and could hold a heavier TV than my 32 inch. Therefore, we should purchase a larger TV because the 60 inch TV stand makes my 32 inch TV look very small. There is a warning label included with the package that states the “stand accommodates most flat panel TV up to 60” or 100 pounds, very sturdy. Since, the size of my living room is awkward, I had some difficulty trying to squeeze the TV stand between the wall and next to the fireplace. I think I may have found where I want to put it but I may move it to another wall. I put it in the corner because we have a DirecTV line coming out of that wall. We needed to update the color of our old TV stand which was black and this medium brown oak fits the occasion. My son helped to lift the box because it was over 75 pounds. Once inside, I read the directions and they were super easy to understand and assemble. Also, I would recommend an automatic drill because there were lots of screws to assemble the TV stand. Everything was labeled and straight forward. We had no difficulties at all. I would recommend this TV stand if you have a large room to put it in and you have measured the space that it is going into before purchasing. It suits our purpose and we are happy.

Solid and beautiful
This is one impressive TV stand. The shelves are a lot thicker than the description may lead you to believe. What they did was each shelf and the top is basically a square frame with a thinner piece of wood attached over it. I would assume this was done to reduce weight and ease assembly, which accomplished both tasks. Speaking of assembly, it is extremely easy, as the instructions are very simple (mostly pictures), and every piece is numbered, including the screws, so you can't possibly mess this up. All of the screw holes are already pre-drilled to make assembly even easier. I had mine together in 15 minutes using a drill. The laminated 3D finish makes it appear to be real wood with a really grainy finish, when in reality it is MDF shelving. Once assembled, this stand is solid. I weigh around 200 pounds, and I can sit on this as a bench with no flex, so the weight limit listed is VERY conservative.
The box is heavy, no doubt about that. 75lb shipping weight and I can assure you it weighs every bit of that. It takes some effort just to get it in the house, and for some people this would definitely qualify as needing a helper. The only thing I don't like about it is that the support is in the way of using a soundbar or a center speaker on the shelf below the TV. If that support sat back about 6 inches or so and allowed an unobstructed area to put a speaker, it would be perfect.
All in all, this will hold any modern TV you can set on it, and has all the shelf space you could need. A great addition to my living room that will last a long time.

Extremely sturdy with Plenty of space for storage!
First, the box is extremely heavy. It took me and my husband to move the box into the family room. It must weigh close to 70 pounds. However, that is not necessarily a bad thing since it indicates heavy, sturdy materials. As for assembly, it is pretty simple, but it does take quite a bit of time. There are around 50 different sized screws that have to be used. The instructions only require a hammer, a flathead screwdriver, and a Philips head screwdriver; however, we used a drill, and it saved a ton of time. Tip: use the drill or it could take you 30 minutes- 1 hour to put this together. We were done in about 15 minutes.
The stand is about 60x18x19 and has metal legs and a laminate finish for the shelves. The finish is nice and looks like genuine, rustic oak. The stand is extremely sturdy and easily held our 60 inch tv. The box indicates that it could hold about 100 lbs. of weight, and I completely agree. The shelves offer ample room to put all of your dvds and other items. However, there is no hole in the stand or place to move all of the wires from view. I would say that is the only real con to this stand.
In sum, I am very pleased with this stand. It has a nice, rustic look to it and is incredibly sturdy. I would definitely recommend it.
